<p>I always liked the stubborn bleakness of Ecclesiastes. And I always liked <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&amp;location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.co.uk%2FDevils-Dictionary-Ambrose-Bierce%2Fdp%2F1595479406%3Fie%3DUTF8%26s%3Dbooks%26qid%3D1211730815%26sr%3D8-4&amp;tag=ip04-21&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;camp=1634&amp;creative=6738">The Devil&#8217;s Dictionary</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.co.uk/e/ir?t=ip04-21&amp;l=ur2&amp;o=2" style="border: medium none ! important; margin: 0px ! important" border="0" height="1" width="1" />. Surprised I never found this quote before.</p>
<p>He&#8217;s good on jealousy too:</p>
<blockquote><p>Unduly concerned about the preservation of that which can be lost only if not worth keeping</p></blockquote>
